At an austere polar summit, generals, energy ministers, and trade officials from rival nations stand around a gleaming conference table carved in the exact shape of the Arctic ice cap. With grave diplomatic seriousness, they sign a 'ceasefire' agreement over shipping lanes, drilling blocks, and future trade corridors. But the table is actively melting under the heat of their fountain pens, coffee cups, and desk lamps; treaty papers buckle with moisture, rivulets run across the map-like surface, and cold water pools around their expensive shoes. Even as the coastline visibly shrinks, several delegates keep pointing to newly exposed routes and resource zones, calmly updating their claims while the ground of the negotiation disappears.
